Baidu Elijah is a trained Crop Scientist with an M.Phil. in Crop Science (Agronomy) and over three years of experience as a Forest Range Manager with Ghana’s Forestry Commission. His expertise lies in applied research, data analysis, reforestation, and natural resource management, making him a strong asset for projects focused on ecological restoration, climate adaptation, and regenerative agriculture.

Baidu’s research focuses on sustainable agriculture and circular economy innovations. He has co-authored work on Black Soldier Fly farming, exploring its potential for biofertilizer production, greenhouse gas emission reduction, and nutrient recycling in agri-food systems. His academic research also covers soil fertility management and crop biofortification, with a focus on optimizing nutrient use in irrigated systems to improve both yield and grain quality.

As a forester, Baidu undertakes the afforestation/reforestation of degraded land, supervising the planting of over 10 hectares annually under Ghana’s national reforestation program. He manages a nursery, producing and distributing over 10,000 tree seedlings to farmers, schools, and community groups every year. He also organizes community outreach, promoting wildfire prevention, sustainable farming, and the role of afforestation in climate change mitigation.

With a unique blend of research expertise and field-based forestry experience, Baidu brings an integrated perspective to sustainable agriculture and environmental restoration efforts.
