Indeed, Mr Okumah has throughout his career supported individuals (experts/advocates) and organisations to intensify the fight towards environmental protection. His aim is also to help prevent the dire consequences of climate change that retard agriculture and other economic activities, and development in general.

Mr Okumah holds a Master of Arts Degree in Social Work from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and the Study of Religions from the same University, and a Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

He had the opportunity of broadening his knowledge and experience in the field of journalism, and the academia, when he won a scholarship and participated in Wolfson Press Fellowship Programme, at Wolfson College, Cambridge University, United Kingdom.

Mr. Clemence Okumah

Mr Clemence Okumah, Assistant Editor, at the Sub Desk, at the Ghanaian Times, is an experienced journalist with a remarkable career for the past twenty-four years.

Famous for exceptional and meticulous editing skills, he assists reporters and writers to produce stories that satisfy readers’ quest for accurate and unbiased information and education on social, economic, political, developmental issues, aside entertaining the public.

Apart from also reporting and carrying out interviews, Mr Okumah has produced a number of insightful and well-researched features not only to educate the public, but to influence policy formulation, decision taking, enter alia, a feat that has accorded him high recognition by his colleagues and stakeholders.

The main focus of Mr Okumah as a journalist and social worker, is to help address social, economic, political, and developmental challenges confronting society.

He is particularly motivated by Pope John Paul II’s reflection that: “The Earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship. We cannot say we love the land and then take steps to destroy it for use by future generations, to join the campaign against environmental degradation.
